Yorkton's natural amenities also include the Ravine Ecological Preserve, which offers walking trails, bird watching and opportunities to enjoy the area's natural landscape.
Golfers can take advantage of Deer Park Golf Course, an established 18-hole championship public course featuring a scenic layout and a modern clubhouse with dining and event facilities. Just outside the city, York Lake Regional Park offers boating, paddleboarding, fishing, a beach, trails and access to York Lake Golf & Country Club. For a larger outdoor getaway, Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park is located about 30 minutes northwest of Yorkton and features a sandy beach, warm shallow waters, camping, mini golf, disc golf, court sports and scenic trails, along with nearby lodging, dining and golf at Good Spirit Golf Resort.

Cultural groups include dance studios such as Dance Innovations and Extravadance, multiple Ukrainian dance schools, Bayanihan Filipino Arts and Culture Club, Free My Muse Theatre and Gujarati Community Association of Yorkton.
Yorkton has childcare and daycare options designed to support working families and early childhood development.
